Making a Wood TV Remote

For this woodworking upcycle project I tear apart my unsightly plastic TV remote and encase it in wood. For the top part of the remote where the buttons poke through I needed to trace and redraw in Illustrator. I then cut that out with my laser cutter out of a dark wood veneer. The body of the remote was drawn up in VCarve Desktop and cut out on my X-Carve CNC. For a unique take on a battery cover I used my Apple TV remote friction fitted into a piece of wood the same thickness and attached to the bottom with magnets. This solves the problem of always losing the tiny remote and having it attached to the TV remote.
